USF E-rate Program
Merit has been participating in the E-rate program since its inception. As the chosen service provider for many of Michigan's libraries, ISDs, and school districts, we know that planning ahead for your connectivity needs helps to streamline the application process and reduce headaches in the years ahead. Merit's High-Speed Backbone Network
Merit manages the nation's longest-running regional network, which has been in continuous operation since May 1973. Merit's fiber-optic network infrastructure has grown to cover a majority of Michigan, and Merit provides dedicated, high-speed connections for libraries and library consortiums in the state. The network enables libraries to share resources and save costs with the Merit On-Net/Off-Net Service.Merit's statewide 10 gigabits-per-second (Gbps) backbone provides a flexible, robust architecture to support the needs of our Members.
