Grow Your Cybersecurity SkillsHosted by Merit Network, the Michigan Cyber Range enables individuals and organizations to develop detection and reaction skills through simulations and exercises. The program offers students and IT professionals a full curriculum of meetings and workshops as well as critical cybersecurity training and awareness tools.
Merit's Michigan Cyber Range is a foundational piece of Governor Snyder's cyber initiative launched in October 2011:
to improve cybersecurity efforts to protect families, communities, businesses and government. "Every day, breaches to computer systems threaten the security of data - data that may include personal information about Michigan's citizens," said Governor Rick Snyder. "This partnership to establish the Michigan Cyber Range benefits all levels of government as well as educational systems, private businesses and industry."
"The Michigan Cyber Range will provide a capability not found anywhere else in the world," said John Nixon, director of the state's Department of Technology, Management and Budget.
"As host of the new Michigan Cyber Range, Merit Network has increased its organization's responsibility and opportunity to educate and stand up the next generation of cyber warriors. Mile2® is proud to partner with Merit Network, in this endeavor. With the implementation of the Mile2 cyber security curriculum and certifications, Merit Network offers the ‘best of breed' training in: penetration testing, digital forensics, secure web applications, disaster recovery, network forensics and other Mile2 courses and certifications," says Raymond Friedman, CEO of Mile2.
