Merit greatly values input and suggestions from our Members, and we will soon be conducting our annual survey to get your feedback related to the Member experience. The Member survey will begin in mid-April and last through May 11, 2012. The results of the survey will be announced at the 2012 Merit Member Conference. The results from last year's survey are available in the
Member Experience section of the Member Portal.
Last year, Merit Network's Member Relations team migrated to a regional model, with each of the Member Relations Managers
assisting different regions of Michigan. The new configuration has enabled Merit to have more effective and frequent engagement with current and potential Members and assist with outreach for the REACH-3MC project. You can learn more about the regions at the
Member Relations web page.
Organizations that are connecting to Merit through the REACH-3MC project should see more construction in their area and on their fiber laterals to Merit over the next three to six months. Merit Network will be connecting 34 new Members through the REACH-3MC project. We will also be providing fiber-optic connectivity to 42 locations in the Upper Peninsula and 102 locations in the lower peninsula. If your organization is not already connected by fiber, Merit can assist with fiber-optic connectivity. Please contact the
Member Relations Manager in your region for more information on the connectivity options available to your organization.
The 2012 E-rate process has concluded, and we are pleased to welcome 26 new schools and libraries that will be attaching to Merit's statewide network.
On April 6, the 2012 Merit Advisory Council election began. MAC representatives at Member organizations have until midnight on April 30 to cast their votes and may vote online through the
Merit Member Portal or by mail/fax.
